| Christine Thielke
- has danced
for seven and a half years at Lakeshore
Dance.
Throughout these years she has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical,
character, pointe, yoga, modern, African, and partnering.
She also has been active in Lakeshores's repertoire performing
company since 1996, performing in company shows such as "The
Nutcraker." In the last three years she has been a
Principal dancer. Christine also has been on Lakeshore
Dance's competition team for four years, one of which she has been
an Elite member. Being on competition team allowed her to
compete regionally and nationally; winning high honors at both
levels.
Currently,
Christine is training to become a teaching faculty member at
Lakeshore Dance. To assist her in her training she also has
helped many of her teachers choreograph a variety of group dances.
Beside studying
with Lakeshore Dance, Christine has also studied with master
teachers. A few of which were Gus Giordano, a classic jazz
legend, Chebar Williams, a former member of Joffrey Ballet
Company, Andre Tyson, a member of the Alvin Ailey Company, and
Chris Judd, head choreographer for Jennifer Lopez. To
supplement her performing, Christine has also taken acting lessons
from Don Hoffman, a local theater owner.
