Dean Edward Partridge of Cedarburg went to be
with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at the age of 69. He passed away
peacefully and without pain from complications of kidney cancer.
Dean was born in Oak Park, Ill., on June 17,
1939. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northern
Illinois University. He married Eva in 1967. After living out east for a few
years, Dean and Eva moved to the Chicago area and eventually moved to Cedarburg
in 1979. Together they raised three children, Jeffrey, Kristin and Drew, who all
graduated from Cedarburg High School and went on to become college graduates.
Always the entertainer, Dean was very active
with both the
Ozaukee Chorus as well as the Port Washington Summer Theater. As an
avid singer, he will be remembered for singing his Louis Armstrong songs at
weddings and gatherings. Some also may remember him for his infectious laugh
that created many lasting memories.
In the early ‘90s, Dean started Partridge and
Associates, a food brokerage firm. For the last nine years, he also worked at
Portal Industries in Grafton, finding employment opportunities for people with
disabilities. Dean was also very active at Advent Lutheran Church. As an organ
donor, his corneas were used upon death so now someone else may see "What a
Wonderful World" we live in.
Dean was the dear husband to Eva; and father
to his children, Jeff (Katrina) from Rapid City, S.D., Kristin of Seattle,
Wash., and Drew (Robyn) of Charlotte, N.C. Dean was the proud "Bompa" to seven
grandchildren, Micah, Joshua, Grace, Abraham, Benjamin, Ella and Anna; and the
dear brother to Donald (Madelyn) and the late Boyd. He is also survived by his
niece, Marianne (Joe); and his nephew, Mike. He is further survived by other
relatives and many friends. |
