'Shrek'

The Port Washington Parks and Recreation Dept. will hold auditions for the summer show, Shrek,The Musical on Friday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 25 at 9:00 a.m. in the Port Washington High School auditorium, 427 W. Jackson St., Port Washington, WI.

The audition process consists of performing a song and a simple dance from the show, which will be taught at auditions, and reading from the script.

There are roles for all ages and genders of adult actors. You must be entering 8th grade next fall to be eligible to audition. Audition packets will be available at the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Dept., 201 N. Webster St., Port Washington, WI.on May 17.

Shrek, The Musical, based on the Dreamworks animated movie, tells the story of a loveable green ogre and his friend, Donkey, who set out to rescue a princess and find true love along the way. Please call the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Dept., 284-5881, if you have any questions.

Port Summer Theatre is sponsored and financed by the Port Washington Park & Recreation Department, and has established a long history of presenting outstanding musical theatre entertainment each summer.

It's success is largely due to the support it receives, not only from the Parks & Recreation Department, but also from the residents and generous businesses within the area.
