The Port Washington Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce registration for the 2013 Port Youth Theatre. The program is available to students in grades 1-8. Registration begins October 1, 2012 for “The Little Mermaid, Jr., the second production by the group This is a condensed version of the show we all know and love with all the familiar Disney characters and songs.  

“In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.” MTI  

Registration fees are $100.00 for residents of the Port Washington-Saukville School District and $110.00 for non-residents of the Port Washington-Saukville School District. Auditions for specific roles will be held from within the group of registered students after registration is closed. There is a limit of 40 students for this production.  

The group will rehearse in the Port Washington High School auditorium and cafeteria twice a week and do two public performances of the show on May 10(evening) and May 11(matinee) in the Port Washington High School auditorium. Rehearsals begin March 12, 2013.
